  • Swedish Meteorite

Theia was a Titan in Greek myth, but astronomers borrowed the name for something rather better — the planet-sized body thought to have struck the early Earth and thrown up the debris that became the Moon. A collision that ended up making something permanent. For a ring with meteorite set into it, there wasn't really a competing option.

    Caring for your ring

A little care goes a long way. Here's how to look after the materials in this ring so it keeps looking its best.

    Swedish meteorite inlay
    • The meteorite in this ring is set in resin, which seals it and helps protect it from moisture. That makes it lower-maintenance than exposed meteorite, but the resin needs a little care.
    • Resin is softer than the metal around it, so hard knocks or rubbing against rough surfaces can scratch or chip it. Take your ring off for the gym, DIY and other hands-on work.
    • Keep it away from harsh chemicals and solvents such as bleach and nail polish remover, and avoid very high heat, which can soften or cloud resin. Don't use ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
    • If you ever notice a chip or crack in the resin, get in touch with us.
    Titanium
    • Titanium is light and strong but softer than tungsten, so fine surface scratches will build up with everyday wear. That's normal and gives the ring a lived-in finish.
    • Take it off for heavy lifting, the gym or hands-on work to avoid dents and deeper marks.
    • Keep it away from harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners.
    Cleaning & everyday care

Cleaning: use warm water with a drop of mild washing-up liquid and a soft cloth, with a soft toothbrush for grooves and edges. Rinse, then dry thoroughly.

    • Swap to the silicone ring included with your order for the gym, sport and hands-on work.
    • Store your ring in its box, away from other jewellery, so nothing rubs or scratches it.
    • Put on hand cream, sunscreen and perfume before your ring, and let them dry first.
